Faculty of Health & Behavioural Sciences
Our School of Nursing, Midwifery & Indigenous Health is committed to the education of nurses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. We enjoy a sound reputation both academically and clinically. We are committed to preparing competent and safe beginner registered nurses and we have a strong postgraduate portfolio including course work and research focused degrees. We are seeking to recruit a new staff member to join the existing team in the implementation of the school's portfolio.
Our Bachelor of Nursing programme is growing due to an increasing demand by students and four site delivery (Wollongong, Shoalhaven, Southern Sydney and Bega, with a further site to open in 2014 subject to accreditation). We are seeking to appoint an academic to join the team in providing outstanding educational experiences to nurses.
As Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer you will specifically support the student experience and assist the Head of School in the development and achievement of scholarly outcomes of staff situated in outreach campuses. The successful applicant must be eligible to register as Nurse in Australia and have current advanced experience and expertise in leading and supporting students and staff. Experience in supporting clinical simulation is desirable.
Candidates must address the Selection Criteria specified in the Position Description, which is available from our website. For further information about the position, please contact Associate Professor Angela Brown on (02) 4221-3123.
