The School of Psychology provides quality training in professional postgraduate programs and undergraduate psychology. It also has a growing reputation for research and teaching excellence. The successful applicant will contribute to teaching at undergraduate level particularly in the biological bases of behaviour including abnormal psychology and related areas. Undertaking research in psychopharmacology linked to these areas will also be a key function.
To succeed you will have expertise in the areas of psychopharmacology and the biological bases of behaviour. A research profile in the area of effects of cannabis and other illicit substances or in schizophrenia would be highly regarded. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to complete research projects and publish results, a commitment to excellence in teaching and research, highly developed communication skills and proven ability to work collaboratively within a research team.
