Three year Fixed Term Appointment

The School of Mechanical, Materials and Mechatronic Engineering is committed to research and teaching excellence through its world-class undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The School has an outstanding record of research achievements supported by significant external grants and industry funding.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic individual with expertise in the field of mechanics of solids, engineering analysis, heat transfer and aerodynamics, and manufacturing process analysis. You will teach at all levels of the curriculum. 

You will be expected to establish a vigorous research program that complements and enhances the interdisciplinary engineering network at the University of Wollongong, particularly in the areas of pipeline-related research.  You will liaise with industry so as to support our intensive research activities within the Energy Pipeline Cooperative Research Centre and the School of Mechanical, Materials and Mechatronic Engineering.

To be successful you must have experience in teaching and research in the field of pipe steel manufacturing, pipeline fracture control and finite element analysis.  Also a strong track record of research publications; and the ability to win external competitive research grants.
