Lecturer: Clinical Skills (Wollongong) - Full Time
The GSM has offered a graduate-entry medical programme at both the Wollongong
and Shoalhaven campuses since 2007. The aim of the GSM is to graduate excellent
medical practitioners, who have the capacity and desire to contribute to the
enhancement of health care for persons in all geographic settings, but particularly
in regional, rural and remote communities. These graduates will have a commitment
to patient-centred, evidence-based reflective and cost-effective medical practice.
As a new school, the Graduate School of Medicine (GSM) is a supportive environment
in which teamwork underpins the development and delivery of the new
MBBS degree.
As part of the Clinical Skills Team, this role will be responsible for contributing to
the development of teaching and learning experiences for students that lead to the
acquisition of clinical skills and competencies. The Lecturer will be involved in the
development and delivery of clinical skills centre activities, including facilitating
small group teaching and learning, participating in formative and summative
assessment of students, and contributing to research and course evaluation.
